Makeathon Munchen

In June I participated with a team of engineers to the Makeathon at the Munich Electronics Fair. It was a great experience: in 32 hours, we worked on a robotic arm that moved in coordination to a 3d sensor. The goal was to have it grab a small tile and place it on a predefined location.

I programmed in Processing the movement of the robotic arm. The challenge was solved using inverse kinematic equations: form an input of spatial coordinates the program was telling each of the 5 servo-motor to move of a certain angle in a defined order.

This project was invigorating since it required a mix of programming and many of my engineering knowledge.
